ASDA Stores Limited (usually shortened to Asda) is a chain of grocery stores located throughout the United Kingdom. The first stores were founded by the sons of butchers and consisted of a few locations made by converting existing buildings. Today the company is a subsidiary of Walmart and is known for its low prices. Asda bakery features several extremely affordable options that prove low prices does not always mean low quality.

ASDA Bakery Cakes

One of the most popular items sold in the bakery department are Asda cakes. Unlike many retailers, each location keeps a large number of cakes ready made for customers to pick up for last minute occasions. Asda bakery cakes are perfect for birthday parties and many have simple messages written in icing for the convenience of their shoppers. Asda cupcakes with birthday messages or other small items are also ready for immediate pick up. Shoppers also have the option of requesting that their cupcakes or cakes be customized with a special message although advance notice is required.

ASDA Bakery Breads

Each Asda bakery offers a large selection of breads and pastries making it easy for shoppers to find items that their entire family will enjoy. In addition to traditionally sliced and thick sliced loaves of fresh baked bread, there are several different types of fruit loaves including many that are baked on site. Rolls, bagels, and other types of bread are also available for traditionally low Asda prices.

For those who do not always enjoy Asda bakery cupcakes, the chains delicious muffins are a light alternative. Asda muffins are a good choice for anyone who needs a convenient breakfast on the go, and when purchased in bulk they are a nice treat to enjoy during office meetings. Asda cookies and brownies are also sweet alternatives to cupcakes that are easy to carry around for a quick snack or after lunch treat.
